Kolding, Denmark Here We Come......

Welcome to Blog Me in the Face!  Completely honestly, I have never liked the word blog, it always sounded like a creature in a role playing game that spits poison, but none the less, after many people bugged me about keeping them up to date on my travels in europe, here it is...
I apologize in advance, and if you see me, and feel like it, feel free to blog me in the face...

For those of you who don't know, I began an adventure yesterday, flying from Newark, NJ to Cologne, Germany, making a documentary film following a country western band called "The Ranchhands."   After arriving in Cologne we were on 7 or 8 trains yesterday on our way to Kolding, Denmark - our first stop on the trip. Here are some things I have learned in the past 2 days.

1) Northern Germany looks like Newark, NJ.
2) Just because the guy sitting behind you on a plane has tattoos and looks like a member
of the Red Hot Chili Peppers doesn't mean he can't do a mean Michael MacDonald/Anita Baker impression.
3) Continental Airlines international? Not so much...
4) Danish is a much more friendly language to the ear than German.
5) Danish meals inevitably involve slices of meat, slices of cheese and bread.
6) Danish furniture is indeed awesome.
7) When people say, "Pack Light!" and you say, "Of course!" and then your luggage weighs the same as a small pachyderm, ok, I'm an idiot.
8) Letterman is a morning show in Denmark....??
9) German people take their soccer VERY SERIOUSLY.  We're talking body paint seriously...
10) 27 Dresses was not worth 90 minutes of my time. I would like to take said 27 dresses and use them to tie the screenwriter to a stump somewhere near carnivorous animals.
11) Golf, watched with a soft Danish Voice commentating is hilarious and strangely compelling.

We are off to shoot for the day, but I will try to keep this updated when I have time and will include photos as I can. Til next time, my blog can beat up your blog....
